Overview

DugoutDesk ("we", "us", or "our") provides a web and mobile app for youth baseball and softball teams at dugoutdesk.app. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using DugoutDesk, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

We collect information in these categories:

  • Account information — email address, password hash, and profile details from sign-in providers such as Google or Apple when you choose those options.
  • Team and player data — names, jersey numbers, optional birth dates, stats, lineups, schedules, availability responses, and other information entered by coaches or families using the app.
  • Usage and device data — app version, push notification tokens, browser or device type, basic logs needed to operate and secure the service, and product analytics events (for example feature use, premium gate hits, and billing funnel steps) used to improve DugoutDesk. These events may include your account id and team id, but not player stats content or message bodies.
  • Billing information — when you purchase a paid plan, payment details are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status and limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
  • Communications — messages we send about schedule changes, reminders, or account activity, plus support correspondence if you contact us.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve DugoutDesk, including understanding which features are used so we can prioritize the roadmap and fair plan gating.
  • Display stats, schedules, and team information to authorized coaches and linked family members.
  • Send notifications you enable, including email, web push, and mobile push alerts.
  • Process subscriptions and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share data only as needed to run the service:

  • With coaches and family members you authorize through team, household, or invite links.
  • With service providers that host or support the product, including Supabase (database and authentication), Google Cloud (API hosting), Stripe (payments), Vercel (web hosting and optional web analytics), and notification delivery providers.
  • Through optional public game share links created by coaches, which expose box score and recap information to anyone with the link.
  • When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Children and youth player data

DugoutDesk is used to track youth sports teams. Coaches and organizations enter player roster information. Parents and guardians typically access player information through family invites.

We do not knowingly collect account registration information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Coaches and organizations are responsible for obtaining any permissions required before adding player information to a team roster.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account or team is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

You may delete your account in the DugoutDesk mobile app (Account → Delete account), or request deletion of your account, correction of account information, or deletion of other personal data we hold about you via our account and data deletion page.

Some team or statistical records may remain visible to authorized coaches until they are removed from the team.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections, authenticated API access, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can:

  • Update account settings on the web.
  • Disable push notifications in the mobile app or browser.
  • Decline optional calendar or notification features.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
